Internet & TV Rate Changes - Starting August 1, 2015
Starting August 1, 2015, rates are increasing on residential Internet and TV plans. Shaw’s customers benefit from an extensive network that delivers our best Internet service. Our customers enjoy great connectivity in their lives and use the Internet more and more every day to the point that Internet usage is doubling every 18 months. Our customers also love their content – with the latest from sporting venues worldwide, television and movies studios, and creators of programming from all over the world.
We are proud to deliver all of these services to our customers’ homes, using leading technology. But increased Internet usage requires greater investment to ensure our infrastructure remains strong. In addition, the costs of delivering TV programming that our customers love is also rising, whether it’s thrilling live sports, innovative dramas, the latest movies, or engaging reality shows.
We value the trust that our customers have in their Shaw Internet and video services, and we review our pricing and packaging regularly. From time to time we need to adjust our rates to help pay for necessary investments to enhance the network and to continue to deliver great programming for millions of Canadians to enjoy, now and in the future. To ensure predictability for our customers, we are committed to keeping these rates for existing customers on current packages at least until summer 2016.
We are notifying our customers well in advance of the rate changes through their monthly invoice. Customers who are on an introductory offer will not be charged the new rates until their introductory offer ends.
