For generations, Shaw has been committed to making a difference - enriching and improving the communities that we serve. Over the past 30 years, Shaw has donated millions of dollars towards a multitude of local organizations and in 1998 we formalized a grants program with the creation of the Shaw Charitable Donations Committee.
Simply put, giving back is the right thing to do.

Our family has always been socially conscious. We have been very fortunate and this makes it even more important to give back. Compassion and generosity are very much a part of our lives, both personally and professionally.
My father, JR Shaw, always gave big but he also gave quietly. The greatest reward for our family was to see how our contributions made a difference in our communities. The stories of children who have been comforted by a Shaw Bear or the student who graduates from one of the six post-secondary programs that we help fund are a testament to our commitment to making a difference.
