Cheryl has dedicated her life to the Enderby Preschool
Society, volunteering countless hours each week for over 20 years. With
childcare lacking in the area, Cheryl sought capital funding to address this
need. She raised over $615,000 in two years to support the expansion of the
Enderby Preschool Society programs, enabling an additional 33 kids to access
quality childcare and preschool programs.
Cheryl has been supporting the Society outside of her
regular full time job as she believes that early childhood development is the
foundation for lifelong learning and the basis for social, economic, and
environmental well-being. Cheryl advocates for a shared responsibility between
family, community, and professionals to provide access to quality early
childhood programs to decrease child vulnerability and delinquency, and
increase success in school and life.
