James Farnan

Producer, Community Access

James Farnan joined Shaw TV in 2011, as a Producer. James hails from the sunny beaches of Western Australia, and has been in Cranbrook since 2009. With a passion for video, he completed a 1 year multimedia course at the South West College of TAFE in Australia, before moving to Canada to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional video editor and photographer. James also has his own small photography and Video business outside of his role as producer, and prior to joining Shaw TV, produced stories for the team as a contractor. The thing he enjoys most about his job, is connecting with the people in our local communities, getting creative, and continually refining his craft. James is also quick to point out that he is the Cranbrook free-surfing champion (or at least he would be if there were such a thing!). Despite all the surfing stories, Canada is rubbing off on James, as he is now a passionate Hockey fanatic, a sport most Western Australians have never even heard of!
