The national team, housed at our head office in Calgary, focuses on processes and initiatives. Its members provide support to front-line Customer Care teams by driving tactical day-to-day activities that promote the consistent, efficient delivery of exceptional customer experiences.
They also work with regional teams to provide information updates on all our products and services and support to our front-line Call Centre operations.
Regional customer-care teams provide outstanding customer service. The Customer Service division manages customer accounts, sales and billing inquiries. The Technical Support division works with our customers to solve technical issues with their Shaw products and to support optimal functioning of all Shaw services.
Engineering focuses on the standards, design, construction, monitoring and maintenance of the infrastructure that provides Shaw internet, video, home phone, Business Solutions, satellite and tracking services.
The SOC is responsible for the delivery of Shaw's employee and customer-service space, including the retail and studio concepts used throughout Shaw. It also designs and executes the overall interior and exterior look and feel for all Shaw buildings.

This department is responsible for identifying and assessing the business and legal risks of Shaw's commercial relationships. It provides strategic and legal advice to the Board of Directors, Executive and Senior Management teams, and each company and operational division of Shaw. In addition to negotiating and preparing agreements for Shaw companies, the Legal team also assists in reducing risks faced by our operational groups by proactively identifying 'unhealthy' practices and promoting best-business practices.
Marketing maintains and grows Shaw's market position through the development and implementation of many marketing initiatives and strategies. Key responsibilities include external advertising, branding, direct marketing, market research and in-house TV productions.
Corporate Communications is responsible for increasing employee engagement and driving two-way communications with all of Shaw's employees in addition to supporting public relations and special events. The team ensures employees have access to company information through intranet, newsletters, presentations and events.
The team processes various types of payments such as telephone banking, online payments, bank-teller payments and those sent by mail to our payment centre. On average, the team opens and processes 20,000-25,000 pieces of mail each day and receives other forms of payment through electronic files that are downloaded and posted to our customer database. On a daily basis, the centre processes millions of dollars in customer payments for Shaw TV and Shaw Direct. It is also responsible for customer payment transfers and trace requests generated by our Customer Services teams.
Product Management develops product plans to enhance our offerings to our cable, internet, home phone and satellite customers. The team drives the business product road maps, the development of the product and the introduction of services to the marketplace, monitoring competitive positioning, performance and customer feedback for business applications.
The Programming and Content group manages the business relationships and negotiates agreements with the television networks carried by Shaw TV and with Video On Demand and Pay Per View content suppliers, including the major Hollywood studios. Team members research and review new content opportunities for Shaw and manage the development and maintenance of more than 100 Shaw channel lineups.
Several programming production roles are available at Shaw — in Corporate Programming at our head office in Calgary and in Community Programming studios across the country.
Corporate Programming produces a variety of video productions that assist the company in meeting its corporate goals. Shaw's team of Editors, Producers, Writers, Videographers, Animators and support staff creates broadcast-quality shows, training videos, TV commercials, customer-education segments and employee motivational pieces.
Shaw TV operates more than 20 studios from Northern Ontario to Vancouver Island, focusing on community. Our Shaw TV stations produce more than 9,000 hours of local programming a year. Viewers in each of our communities trust us to deliver hyper-local news, information, sports and weather.

This team is responsible for all real-estate purchases, sales and lease transactions, including negotiation, documentation and rent payments for Shaw's 550 properties. Shaw's real-estate properties range from a 300-sq.-ft. hub site to a 300,000-sq.-ft. office tower, such as Shaw Court in Calgary. Property tax assessments and appeals also are handled by this group.

The Regulatory Affairs team manages these policies and regulations to ensure we serve our customers and shareholders and meet our strategic business objectives. This team looks after licences, file applications and policy submissions, responds to complaints, and builds and maintains strategic business, regulatory and political relationships.
The Sales team, in collaboration with our branch offices and other corporate departments, supports the successful execution of our strategic objectives by providing support and direction for customer-acquisition campaigns, pricing, and sales offers and promotions. In partnership with our internal stakeholders, the Sales team helps develop national sales plans for all products and implements appropriate offers and incentives for multiple sales channels.

This team works closely with the Affiliate Relations team and is responsible for inserting commercials for Shaw and other advertisers on U.S. specialty channels such as A&E and CNN.
This team has divisions operating across Canada, managing the day-to-day planning, purchasing, shipping/receiving, inventory control and transport of goods used to support our businesses.
